Arlette’s and Stephen’s reception - Telling of the Mi'kmaq Creation Story in the wigwam.

Invited by Arlette Sinquin and Stephen Augustine, we have spent time at their house, where we have learned about the Mi’kmaq people thanks to Stephen Augustine (Alguinou). Stephen is is a Hereditary Chief on the Mi’kmaq Gran Council, Cape Breton University Associate Vice President Indigenous Affairs and Unama'ki College (Center for Indigenous Studies). We have spent time in the wigwam, where he has told us, for a while that has been stoped, the Mi'kmaq Creation Story. A magical place and a story of reverie.
