LAST TEST OF COSTUMES AND DANCES BEFORE THE TRAVEL TO UNAMA’KI AND LOUISBOURG

On June 18 we met a lot of people related to the project, there was also Stephen Augustine, Mi'kmaq Hereditary Chief and tutor of Marta Vazquez, one of the three students who go to Canada this year in this Basque cultural program to do a work of Anthropology on the impact of Residential Schools in several UNAMA'KI communities.

Claude and Jon, from Maritzuli Konpainia, surprise us - once again - with the charming jackets that they have prepared as a climax to the attire of each one of them.
Students have also learned today the placement of the headdress, the most sophisticated of the three they will use there.

After the trip they undertake on Friday to arrive in Sydney on Saturday afternoon, they are the ones who will carry the weight of the program that we have just started, in their respective works, with PARKS CANADA and the CBU (Cape Breton University).

From left to right, Amets Aranguren, Claude Iruretagoyena and Mirari Loyarte.

Tomorrow they will interview Mirari and Amets in Euskadi Irratia, whose link we will place as soon as we have it.

From now on we hope to see in this BLOG the collaborations of the three students often.
